Karen has been in the employee benefit industry for 18 years. At her previous employer, Karen managed employee benefits for organizations with as few as 5 to more than 7,000 employees. Karen brings a wide range of expertise to Diversified and is a valuable resource for the implementation, education and service of employee benefits. Karen takes pride in having an in depth knowledge of the group insurance industry with an emphasis on products, rating and underwriting. This knowledge allows her to focus on employer benefit plan needs and deliver higher than expected results.

Christy Butterfield – Senior Service Consultant

Christy has 14 years of experience working for a large national insurance carrier as a Key Account Representative as well as 2 years Billing and Coding experience and 5 years of Broker experience at Diversified. Christy is our dedicated service consultant and specializes in escalated enrollment, claims and billing issues. She has impeccable follow-up and a successful track record of problem resolution. In addition to being accessible by cell phone and email, Christy also makes periodic visits to see if there are issues that need her assistance.

Brian Carter – Account Executive

Brian is Diversified’s small group specialist, representing more than 100 business owners and small-midsize companies. He is innovative and has great experience in small group plan design, benefit strategy, and renewal expertise. He is very knowledgeable in assisting small groups with compliance and administration needs. Brian is also fluent in Spanish.

Leslie Finch – Account Manager

Leslie Finch comes to Diversified as an Account Manager with 7 years of health insurance experience with an emphasis in the large employer sales arena. Leslie brings with her, professionalism and proven customer service ability. She is experienced in handling a wide variety of escalated issues and is very knowledgeable of health insurance benefits. As a result, she is a Service Consultant for the accounts she manages.

Micah Hair – Data Analyst

Micah comes to Diversified with strong experience in customer service and healthcare. He has been in the Utah healthcare industry for 4 years. He has a strong analytical background and is skillful in improving operational efficiency to achieve organizational objectives. He began his healthcare career as Legal & Regulatory Analyst for a large air ambulance company researching state and federal statutes and monitoring HIPAA compliance. Before coming to Diversified, he managed a successful Prosthetics practice.

Heather has over four years of experience promoting wellness. She believes in establishing a healthy workforce for our clients that promotes a healthy lifestyle, decreases the risk of disease, and enhances quality of life. She recognizes the value of prevention and wellness, and the role it plays in reducing health care costs and increasing healthy and productivity in the workplace.

Jeana has twenty years of healthcare industry, employee benefit consulting, managed care sales, provider and carrier experience. She is an expert in plan evaluation, benefit strategy, underwriting Analysis and renewal experience. She has deep experience in Benefit plan implementation and compliance and administration assistance. Jeana is also fluent in Spanish.

Bob Howard – Senior Vice President

Bob has been working in the insurance industry, specifically focused in the Employee Benefit Health and Welfare sector, for the last 20 years. Bob has formerly worked with large employers as Vice President in the Large Group Employer Business Development department of national health insurance carrier, United Healthcare. His last 15 years have been devoted to brokering and consulting as a licensed consultant with global consulting firms.

Bob serves on the Senior Human Resource Roundtable Board in conjunction with the University of Utah. He is a national member of the Society of Human Resources Management and member of SHRM chapters in Utah Country, Salt Lake County, and Davis County. Bob is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Utah Technology Council (UTC), Ernst and Young – Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY), and a Board Member for the Greater Salt Lake Chapter of the American Red Cross. Bob is a certified EMT and has a passion for wellness initiatives and the impact they can have on rising healthcare costs.

Sean Oliver – Partner, Benefits Office Manager

Sean has over 8 years of healthcare industry experience, including large group medical underwriting and employee benefits consulting. He has experience working with clients of all sizes, including large national employers. He is an expert in plan design, underwriting analysis, self-funding evaluation, and benefit strategy. He has excellent technical abilities, including database design/maintenance, financial analysis, and medical experience analysis and reporting. Prior to joining Diversified Benefit Services Group, Sean’s career includes a total of 8 years with Mercer Human Resource Consulting in Utah, Towers Perrin in Connecticut, and SelectHealth in Utah.
