He has insured 21 out of the last 26 IPO companies in Utah. In 2001, Spence co-founded Diversified Insurance Group. Actively involved in the venture and technology communities, he is a member of the Utah Technology Council’s (UTC) Board of Trustees, former President of TechAssure, a v100 member and a contributor to the Investors Choice Capital Conference. He has spoken to numerous organizations, including international groups, on insuring and managing the risks of high growth companies. He co-founded the Summit Directors and Officers Conference and has co-chaired the event for the past 18 years.
In 2001, Joe Henriod and Spence Hoole acquired Aon Risk Services of Utah and formed Diversified Insurance Group. He currently serves as COO and is a Shareholder of the firm.
Joe has more than twenty years of experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry. He was an Executive VP of ITA Insurance for 15 years until ITA was acquired by Aon Corporation. ITA specialized in risk management solutions for the information technology industry. Joe worked for Aon Corporation as Executive VP and Managing Director of Aon Risk Services, Inc. of Utah until 2001.
Jeana is a licensed benefit consultant and registered nurse with 25 years of healthcare/insurance carrier experience. Jeana started with Diversified Insurance Group in 2003 and became the Practice Leader in 2006. She has gathered a team of seasoned experts in the area of Employee Benefits and together they bring innovative new ideas to challenge the current state of healthcare.
Jeana also specializes in plan design, compliance, wellness initiatives, member education and communication which are an integral
part of creating an engaged and empowered employee.
Kevin has over twenty years' experience working in Sales and Marketing for large public companies and currently manages marketing and business development efforts for Diversified. He manages branding and identity for the company, is the company blogger and is actively developing an online quoting website for small technology companies.
Active in the technology community, he has been on the Board of the MountainWest Capital Network for over ten years and is currently on the Executive Committee. Kevin is involved in numerous venture and business development groups including the Wayne Brown Institute, Association for Corporate Growth, Utah Technology Council, National Association of Corporate Directors and Summit, Inc.
He has worked in the insurance industry since 2002. Prior to working in Insurance, he worked in Financial Printing for RR Donnelley, helping take companies public and assisting public companies with secondary offerings, large scale debt transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
Steve has spent the past 20 years developing and managing commercial insurance programs for organizations across the United States.
Steve’s specific expertise is in the Workers’ Compensation, Employment Practices Liability, and Professional Liability arenas. Steve has worked with large, sophisticated organizations in a variety of industries, taking a very proactive approach in designing and managing property and casualty insurance programs to meet the unique needs of each client.
Steve’s experience in negotiating and managing insurance programs has prepared him to anticipate and satisfy client needs and demands across all lines of commercial insurance. His technical approach to account management coupled with his outstanding ability to break down and communicate complex issues have proven to be a valuable asset to his clients.
Sean has over 16 years of healthcare industry experience, including large group medical underwriting and employee benefits consulting. He has experience working with clients of all sizes, including large national employers. He is an expert in plan design, underwriting analysis, predictive modeling and reporting, self-funding evaluation, and benefit strategy. He has excellent technical abilities, including database design/maintenance, financial analysis, and medical experience analysis and reporting.
Prior to joining Diversified Benefit Services Group, Sean’s career included positions with Mercer Human Resource Consulting in Utah, Towers Perrin in Connecticut, and SelectHealth in Utah.
Brian has over 10 years experience in Employee Benefits. He is an expert in plan design and analysis. His greatest strengths lie in finding new solutions to benefit design and strategy that others may overlook. His desire and ability to bring innovative ideas to each employer group separate him from others in the market. He takes tremendous pleasure in knowing that the clients that our team serves truly run well and that we have had a significant effect on the bottom line of each of our clients.

He is a former President of CPCU Society Utah and is expert in all types of risk management topics.
Regan is a seasoned commercial insurance broker with experience in risk management due diligence; insurance program design, implementation and management; risk identification; and financial risk analysis.
He has worked extensively with private equity firms at various stages of the mergers and acquisitions process from the various stages of due diligence to post-acquisition insurance placements. With his strong financial background, Regan has a strong understanding of the financial and management liability insurance products and what drives the cost of risk to organizations. This financial education allows him to communicate in terms that are relevant to senior finance professionals within organizations.
